In addition to videos and pictures, it is also your responsibility to put detailed descriptions as well. A well-written product page will convince the user to buy from you without any second thoughts.

Contemplate on Mitigating Shipping Costs

According to recent data, one of the reasons why people abandon their carts on the checkout is due to the fact that some stores still charge them hefty fees for shipping. This can be a huge deal-breaker for some, especially since some of your customers might be from abroad.

In order for you to entice them to complete their transaction, you can contemplate on mitigating the shipping costs. Perhaps, you can just have them pay $5 for shipping or better yet, think about providing that service for free.

Minimalistic Design

One of the errors that some online business owners do is that they make their website so convoluted with a lot of different things. In other words, they employ a ‘loud’ website design.

This is definitely a huge no-no in this day and age, simply because people actually value simplicity and functionality over a busy design.

Look at your website and ask yourself honestly if it is pretty easy to deal with. If it isn’t, then you may have to go back to the drawing board.

Guest Checkout

I admit, I am never a fan of signing up to an online store, even if it means that it is the only way for me to buy from them.

I get it, business owners get the advantage of getting their customer’s emails for promotion and marketing, but that is actually something that not a lot of people are fans of.

You see, there are some that would just go to an online store, look for something that they want to buy, and then head to the checkout.

There are also some that would prefer to keep some of their information private so that it also a deal-breaker for them if they are forced to sign up to your service.

Giving them the avenue of buying products from via guest checkouts can be beneficial to your business.

Prominent Call to Action

When a potential customer stumbles upon your website, they may not know exactly what to do. Making your CTA button prominent is a must. You can put it directly on the first part of your homepage to make it easier for them to see.
